Vivez Joyeux {Live Joyfully}
I was looking around my blog, trying to decide what it needed. “It needs something”, I said. And then it came to me. What this blog needs is a series of adorable boy photographs. Just so happens, my grandson Conor is an adorable boy. I am intensely…no insanely smitten with this little guy. These pictures were taken on a recent day that I had the wee rascal all to myself.
Wha? Grammie?
This face, it cracks me UP and I was unfazed.
“But, You heard me, fun’s over. Now, pack up your bubbles and let’s get to work cleaning the barn”.
I’m playing with you, he loves to work in the barn with me. He was saying he was ready to go work in the barn and I was discouraging him saying “it’s too hot right now, buddy.” In Florida, late morning to mid-afternoon is not the time to be hauling muck, if you can help it. He won, we did, antsy barn assistant that he is.
Earlier this year I read this book, The Greater Journey, Americans in Paris by David McCullough. I know, I referenced him last post too; he’s a great writer. He described in his book the affection of the French for children, and how the children are encouraged to Vivez Joyeux, live joyfully. I love the French.
Barn work all done, we finished our perfect day with a meal at Conor’s favorite beans and rice place, Azteca Mexican Restaurant D’Oro. !Vivir gozosamente! Live Joyfully.
